Things worth knowing

If it's about one game, send the link

Copy the address out of your browser while you are looking at the review, or share the game and paste that link instead. It saves a round of “which game?” and lets us look at exactly what you were looking at. If something went wrong, tell us what you were doing and what happened instead — a screenshot is worth more than a description. And if your games never turned up, send the exact handle you typed and which site it is on: a small typo in a handle looks identical, from where we sit, to something being broken on ours.

The form here takes text only. If you have a screenshot or a game file to send, email it to cortexchessapp@gmail.com instead. It reaches the same people.

A lot of questions already have an answer

The questions on the home page cover what a review actually gives you, what it costs, which of your games get imported, how a coach sees your games, and what happens to your data. If yours is there you get an answer now instead of tomorrow — and if it isn't, that's useful for us to know.

A person reads these

Not a ticket queue and not a bot — someone who plays chess and works on Cortex. So write it the way you would say it out loud. You don't need to be polite about a bug, and you don't need to know the right words for something; describe what you saw and we will work out the rest.

What we do with what you send

Your message and your email address are used to answer you, and for nothing else. They aren't sold, not shared with anyone, and not added to a mailing list. If your question is about a game, we look at that game and no others.
